CITY TOUR
Dubai City Tour
| Witness
the historic sites and vibrant cosmopolitan
life of Dubai as we take you on this
city tour. We shall fake you to the
picturesque palace and this residential
area which is the home of the famous
Jumeira Mosque. A full view of the
city can be seen as we then proceed
to the World Trade Centre. The famous
Sheikh Saeed House (former residence
of the ruling family) would be our
next stop. This ancient palace with
wind-towers (an ancient form of air-conditioning)
and layers of rooms built around a
central courtyard, shows us a fine
example of the region's traditional
architecture. |
| Our
drive continues to the old part of
the city, the Bastakia area, to the
Dubai Museum at the Al Fahidi Fort
which was built 150 years ago. Experience
the unique ride on an ohm (traditional
water-taxi) across the Dubai Creek
to the Deira side of the city. This
tour is incomplete without a visit
to the fascinating souk of gold and
spice Take a trip to the past |
PEARL
OF THE GULF
Sharjah/Ajman City Tour
| This
tour shall introduce you to the Emirate
of Sharjah, also known as the 'Pearl
of the Gulf. In this emirate, one
of the many landmarks to take photo
is the King Faisal Mosque, currently
the largest mosque in the Emirates.
We shall then continue to the renovated
Fort of Sharjah, which is used to
be the residence of the ruling family
that was originally built in 1820.
The Al Naboodah House, the museum
for cultural heritage is the next
place to see. A quick stroll on the
adjacent souks of 'Al Arsa' and at
the Majarrah Souk shall take you then
to our next venue which is the souk
'Al Markazi' - a treasure trove of
carpets, jewelry and handicrafts.
|
| After
a short stop for shopping at the Gold
Center, our tour continues to the
emirates of Ajman and its famous museum
for a short briefing about the Emirates'
past before the oil was discovered.
We shall then have the opportunity
to visit the old dhow-building yards
and see how these dhows (wooden sailing
boats) are still built today in the
tradition of the past. This concludes
our tour before heading back to hotel.

THE
OASIS CITY
Al Ain City Tour
| Located
140 kms from Dubai at the foot of
the mountains, Al Am, which had a
history dating back to 4 millenium
BC, is known for its modern charms
mixed with the lush, green beauty
of public parks, gardens, and wide
boulevards. In this green land, you
will find the nation's largest museum
located within the confines of Al
Jahili Fort, where finds from archaeological
excavations on Jabel Hafit, including
copper implements are in display.
Impressive ancient tombs of historical
importance are of interest at the
Huh Gardens. |
| Close
to Al Ain there is a craggy mountain
rising steeply from the surrounding
desert. This area is noted for its
flora and fauna (one of the last remaining
habitats of the rare Arabian tahr).
The mountain can be accessed by excellent
roads, which wind its way right up
to the summit, providing panoramic
view of the open countryside. Also
of interest are the numerous caves,
sites of archaeological excavations,
and Ain Al Fayda, the top health resort
located over a natural hot spring.

THE
GAZELLE
AbuDhabi City Tour
| A
full day tour to Abu Dhabi, the capital
of the UAE, situated about 170 kms.
South-West of Dubai is an interesting
excursion. The first landmark before
reaching the city of Abu Dhabi is
the Jebel Ali Port, the biggest man-made
port in the world. Many of the city's
striking examples of modern architecture
show intriguing interpretations of
Islamic themes captured in today's
materials. Admire the skill and dexterity
of local ladies making traditional
handicrafts at the Women's Handicraft
Centre. We then drop by at Abu Dhabi's
oldest building, Al Husn Palace, before
proceeding to the Petroleum Exhibition.
Learn everything about the 'black
gold' - oil - and how it transformed
Abu Dhabi into a city what it is today.
A drive along the beautiful Corniche
and to the Breakwater gives a magnificent
view of the city. The last stop shall
be at the Dhow Yard, where wooden
ships are still built using simple
tools. |
